adoptera en landmina...

Adopt-A-Minefield® is a campaign of the United Nations Association of the USA that engages individuals, community groups, and businesses in the United Nations’ effort to resolve the global landmine crisis. The Campaign helps save lives by raising funds for mine clearance, mine risk education, and survivor assistance ranging from physical rehabilitation to vocational trainings and psychosocial support. AAM also engages in advocacy initiatives to foster awareness about the impact of landmines, cluster bombs, and all explosive remnants of war.
The idea behind Adopt-A-Minefield is both powerful and simple. Designed to move beyond the political and policy debates typically associated with banning the use of landmines, the Campaign provides a practical solution to the tens of millions of mines that contaminate the world and to the countless survivors of landmine accidents.
Adopt-A-Minefield provides unique and creative opportunities for many different levels of participation by individuals, organizations, schools and corporations throughout the world. Through Adopt-A-Minefield, everyone can make a tangible difference in the world.
Adopt-A-Minefield is a steering committee member and current chair of the US Campaign to Ban Landmines.
